I sold my "Dacia" (Renault R10) Lemons car to a guy up in the Bay area. Wonder if it's that one? Judging by the flat black paint job, it could very well be my old one as the guy repainted it flat black after he got it from me. I'd like to think the cage was pretty well executed...

I can't imagine there are a ton of R10s with rollcages in them anywhere in this country. That R10 only raced once or twice after you sold it, would guess this is the Romanian Dream Machine.
It probably sold fast due to it's racing provenance.

It ran the Buttonwillow race with chickens then was sold to a team that picked it up at T-Hill. New owners weren't there for tech so they sent a cousin who knew nothing about cars or racing to get it thru tech. I dont think they even checked the fluids in it before running it on Saturday. Last I saw, it was underneath a cloud of steam on T-Hill's west course. A bit of a cluster-flock.

Part of the sale deal was in addition to a tech-ready car they would get free entry for the whole team, free transport to the track, and I'd shepherd them through tech. I seem to recall they had it shipped to them in advance of the race rather than have me deliver to the race so they could retheme it and whatnot.
The car had run surprisingly flawlessly on the Sunday of it's previous race with us at Buttonwillow, but we treated the car with kid gloves, so to speak.
I emailed the person who got it from me off ebay using an old email thread we had going from Oct 2014. No response as of yet.
I'm actually pretty proud of that cage and the integral seat mount/support I I built into it and would'nt hesitate (much) to repurpose the caged body with some more capable subframes beneath it.
All 1-3/4 x .120 DOM (possibly POSSIBLY .095)
