Topic: Cajun Peaux Peaux

Well, the Mopar cop car broke in half when we started on it 2 years ago so we scrapped it. We finally scored another and are using this shelter in place to work on it. Sold a lot of nice parts to a Bluemobile builder as it had the correct tan interior. Should be good to geaux for the November Houston race. TEAM EAUX

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

I was wondering how that car turned out. Keep at it and keep us posted!

I tried to post pics but could not figure it out. Its a real hooptie. Stephen

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

I use Postimages.org for posting pics here.

I suggest you set up an account - it's easier controlling the images than doing a 'guest' posting.

The black car was too far gone and never pass tech. BUT the real cop HP 440, front, rear antiroll oil coolers etc is now on the much better Monaceaux.

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

Won IOE first time out. Car ran good, threw a fan belt once. Phish

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

Well Done Spyphish! Congrats. Looks like the secret of Big Block Mopar domination is out. Rummor is there might be couple running at Pitt. My Cordoba ( unless I break it beforehand) and the Bluesmobile. Gonna be great!

what cam are you going to use? I have found stockish 440's run really good with either of the 2 Summit cams.

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

Mr. Yuck - When I rebuilt the 400 in the Doba I put the most mild cam I could find ( I think it’s a crane ).Everything else is stock I didn’t want to hop it up to much. It’s in and running now and doesn’t seem to be appreciably faster that what I blew up at NH. Maybe 10% more power.  I'm still tweaking timing/carb etc... I figure let me build one that lives ...then I can experiment with more ( cam, compression, displacement ...turbos )

Whatever Spyphish is running in that 440 sounds like a good combo

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

Motor out of 74 Police package with stock cam. Needs rear disc brakes bad. Phish

Watch out for that New Team HERD IMMUNITY with the 66 PANHEMIC.

Problem with the 400's is compression. Mill the heads.  Cheaper than buying pistons.

Sebring out but NHRA Houston next weekend 9th ish. I can get that running Leaning Tower Of Power in Ragley, La. back here . Engine free or case of Coors light and I could bring to Houston track if you want. Stephen 337-499-44 three five

Did you puke a trans at NJMP a few years ago in the Monaco?

Re: Cajun Peaux Peaux

GTOPAT is the single reason we finished as he shared his Mopar C body pitfalls and helped me with the build IE: parts that would last. He runs the Plymouth version of the MonacEAUX, a FuryEAUX. I hope to adopt him as a secret weapon at BG in Sept. Dr. Fakechi

Happy to help.

Yep, that was us, technically threw the driveshaft, but it took the extension housing of the 727 with it on the way out.

I had that happen at the stripe (1/4 mile) doing 122 in a 70 Charger, that is no fun. The entire trans case came apart. One of the caps appeared to fall off.

I really appreciate the offer, but back here at my garage we've got two spare engines and not much room to spare.

I'm also a little busy getting married this weekend, or I'd come out and watch the drags. Good luck!
