Topic: Maybe you all can help me with an important question

My wife asked me last night why we were building a second race car we already have one?  Then she asked if we are planning on getting rid of the first one when the other one is finished.  I didn't have an answer handy so I changed the subject.

Re: Maybe you all can help me with an important question

I think: "Because we want to.", and, "No, of course not.", will do nicely.

But then again, I'm single.

I think you'll get more helpful answers if you edit the subject of your OP to something more direct, such as:

"Why might a team want to have two race cars?"

/ There's tons of reasons already in this forum:

In case one car breaks during a race

We have an unfulfilled creative streak

The team is getting larger, and we want more seat time

*We want our significant others to have a chance to participate*
(aka, "Honey, I'm doing this for you; it was supposed to be a surprise")

So many reasons...

You forgot "we're stupid"

We have 4 Lemons cars and talking about building another so I can't really say anything.

Re: Maybe you all can help me with an important question

I did tell her we weren't going to sell the first one.  She started to ask another question but stopped.

I should have amended the great quote by Burt Reynolds and replied "For the glory, for the fun and mostly for the fun"

Re: Maybe you all can help me with an important question

Does she drive for the team?

If she does - maybe you’re not building a car she wants to build - or theme she can get behind

If she hasn’t driven yet - get her behind the wheel - she will catch the bug and want to build two more cars!

If those two suggestion don’t work ....well.......then..........I got nothing.....
