Topic: Looking for rides at NJMP & Gingerman!

Hello friends,

A work trip will put me on Long Island June 5th - 16th, and I would love to race NJMP on my weekend, and Gingerman on the way home!

I have driven 22 different cars in 47 races at 10 different tracks during my 11 years doing Lemons. This would be my first visit to NJMP!

Looks like I will need a driver for NJ
Car is a 1987 Honda Prelude, manual tranny, no power steering, brake booster is being deleted, relatively easy to handle
I would say a quickish reliable-ish car for Class C
and average class B car, team is not super competitive....most important is for everyone to get a chance to drive...
Last race was in October, and ran great, so nothing really important to fix for NJ (but I'm doing some "stuff" to it....!)
Seat is on sliders
We don't do radios
We should have a garage, we do Friday practice
I bring tools and some spare parts (not engine), I can do basic repairs, and I know amazing people and have amazing friends that help out any way they can during a race....
So I bring some food and drinks....
I just don't have the umph to do elaborate costumes myself...

Otherwise, team spirit is a roll up the sleeves, help any way you know or can, have fun, relax, easy going, no ego, no attitude, laugh at yourself, admit your weaknesses, contribute your strengths, help others on the team and any teams around us, etc.

Mike actually took a nap while he won his class at New Hampshire. Talk about relaxed , easy going !!!!!!

Loudon was great! everyone on the team got to drive their share, team worked like clockwork, fast and timely driver changes and fueling, , I don't think we had any penalties, and the car just ran the whole race (all those spare parts and tools I packed into the UHaul...I never got to use....what a waste....all we did was drive all day...boring!!!), Just a great team of drivers....!
And winning was just the bonus, cream on the top!
Making sure everyone gets a chance to drive, we try to do well at each race...and sometimes everything just falls into place, and sometimes it does not...either way, we have fun, and its memorable...

So far, for NJ, I have just me and a previous driver, so I'll need 2 more, but its still early
(Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the Pittsburgh race..)

I might be going to NJMP this year as my one northeast race. Not 100% positive yet but if I do I would love to drive with you again if you have room. As of now, I don't have any other ride there and I need to figure out my summer schedule.
I've raced with Derek before too. Let me see if an NJMP is going to work out and I'll be back in touch.

Have you found a seat for Gingerman yet?  Team Junkyard Monkey is looking for a 3rd driver.

We were class C in both races last year with 2nd place finishes.  Not the fastest on the track but a fun ride for sure!
