Topic: 2003 VW GTI 1.8t race ready in California $4000

Kook Racing car #101 is pulling the plug. The 2003 Volkswagen GTI 1.8t 5 speed is ready to run today. Built in 2019 for Willow Springs but Covid shut that down. Raced Sanoma Sears “Pointless” in 2021 breaking the half shaft with 30 minutes left on day 2. Replaced with much better “Raxle” shafts which will handle 500hp. Raced 2022 Sanoma finished 45 over all and 30 in class B. Car has two sets of rims and tires one set with zero miles on them. Harness is good for the rest of 2023. I’m not a potential buyer… but I’m guessing, speaking as a fellow VW racer with a car that age, that folks would like to know the drivetrain this one has. 5 speed? 6 speed? Automatic? 1.8T? VR6? Lot of possibilities combos, some better than others!
