Topic: Eibach pro kit springs and tokico blues $100+sh NH

Will fit NA miata. Did 1:30s in naturally aspirated 1.8 at both Thompson and NHMS. Spent $1000 on koni race setup and did 1:30s. My loss your gain. In box ready to ship to continental US for $150. ($100- $50 shipping) Sold the miata and now have a godawful Rover.  Shipping is negotiable if you can send me a label!

I will be ever so interested in seeing lap times of your most recent upgrade! I do hope you will share after the race, please.

I can’t tell if this was sarcasm or not but the upgrade didn’t really do much. I think probably other factors are at play but making coilovers and adding stiffer springs and koni race shocks and corner weighting didn’t make more than maybe 0.5 sec difference. I sold the car and maybe they’ll tune the setup better. Essentially the setup of Eibach pro kit and tokico blues I’m trying to get rid of works really well and is the ‘easy button’ for the NA miata. So a new team with a trashed suspension could get this and do really well.

Not sarcasm - I was talking about your upgrade to the Rover. And I mean that seriously, as the Rover is more in the 'spirit' of Lemons, and would be a 'spirit' upgrade from 'the answer'.

For example, I don't think my first Lemons 'candidate' (SC400) is really within the 'spirit' of Lemons (though it does make the number), but I'll say my second 'secret' candidate (which I intend to finish after I get the first done and on track) definitely will be more in the spirit of Lemons and therefore an upgrade; but it'll be a TON slower.

Now, my NA (which I can't get started after replacing the water pump and timing belt) might be aching to get on the track with those newer springs and shocks, but I want to keep it a daily - if I can get it running again.

I might wind up taking off the head and doing some refreshing while I check to see if I screwed up when doing the belt and bent valves. But right now, that's beyond me, and I haven't done any research at all on what would be a good next step.

got it- The Rover is a real turd but much more the spirit of Lemons with it's crazy heritage. The miata tokico blues/pro kit setup is also great for the road. Everyone claims that tokico blues blow up but they treated me well and were new 8 races ago so not much abuse. For this price who cares? The springs essentially never wear out and only lower the car a little and still retail for over $300. I was also much dumber and spent money on used koni str/ground control/eibach coilover kit for the Rover because the stock suspension were tuned for 'luxury' and corroded with genuine British road salt horribly. Wish me luck not destroying the rust encrusted remnants of the suspension with that install. currently the car is getting a cage.
