Topic: Join a team in Madison, WI

Hi! We are Tom, Ben & Tomo. 3 friends who love all things cars and want to go fast.

We will be racing 8 - 10 Lemons/ChampCar endurance races this (2025) season, plus a hand full of other regional events. Although our races will cover the a large area we are really looking for teammates local enough to contribute regularly to the build and meet for coffee to argue over setup and strategy.

We also raise money for CarsCuringKids - a charity placing paedeatric equipment in EMS vehicles throughout Wisconsin. As much as we love racing, it's important for us that we connect to something that gives our racing a greater purpose.

Us:

- Based in DeForest, Wisconsin.
- Cash poor, enthusiastic, patient.
- We work remotely/from home so tend to meet during weekdays. Prioritising family time on weekends.

You:
- Age, gender, orientation, ethnicity does not matter so long as you have decent English.
- 5'10 < 6'2" (to fit in our fixed seat)
- Mechanically experienced, open-minded and cool under pressure.
- Local to Dane Country or willing to travel.

That Accord isn’t a bad choice. I will give my 2c that your planned schedule sounds a little ambitious. Been doing this on a shoestring since 2012, and I’ve never gotten more than 3 races in a year. I know of several dedicated teams who race more than that, but even 6 races a year… would feel like one endless wrench session, especially if you’re not trying to work on the car at weekends.

I wish you the best, just hinting that your schedule looks optimistic.
