Topic: In Car video from Buttonwillow from car 555

This was taken on my last run of the day around 11am-12pm. Lots of coverage. Definitely the pink BMW E30, Blue E30 and Porcubimmer (sp) were in there, as well as many others. Enjoy...

Re: In Car video from Buttonwillow from car 555

Just watched your first video.  Aggresive, but clean at least in that 10 minute stint.

One question, I hear radio calls in the video?  What setup were you guys using for communictaions?

I don't know the specific radio model/type (two of the other team members bought them - maybe they will be able to provide better info), but I know they were 45 watt radios and looked just like this: http://www.icomamerica.com/en/products/ … fault.aspx

Thanks for the comments on the driving. Kept it clean the whole weekend!

So you had a base-type unit in the car using an external speaker?  Nothing in the helmet?  No remote type mic?

Re: In Car video from Buttonwillow from car 555

There was a base type unit in the car with a speaker that was bloody loud - I could hear it through my helmet.  Two of the drivers (who bought the kit) put stuff in their helmets but myself and the other driver didn't have that setup. The transmit button was wired to the cruise control button and for us that didn't have a mic, we would just hit the button a number of times to say we were coming in, or two hits for yes, one for no.
