Re: Themes you'd like to see done
Not a very recognizable theme for the car itself, but wear the costumes all weekend and blast the song nonstop, Nyancar-style.

Obvious dustbuster van theme is obvious.
When you add supercharged 3800 power, it becomes the James GTi.
Don't know if this one has been suggested:
It's the "Coyote" from the 70's show Hardcastle and McCormick. Originally based on a kit on an Opel Manta, later a modified DeLoerean.
I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but a dustbuster (Silhouette/Lumina/Transport) minivan would be a good candidate for an Imperial Shuttle theme. At tech you could reenact the scene where the Emperor arrives at the Death Star: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oxw5WPRzUOE

the dustbuster van also makes an excellent space shuttle, that and a dustbuster, if silhoutte you also get to do a get shorty theme. Bonneville racer theme, pretty sure it will work for many futuristic vehicle things too from various cartoons and movies.
With cleverly applied paint (black out the rear quarter panels?), do you think a dustbuster could be made into a passable tribute to The Brown Hornet?
Has anyone thought of doing a CAKE themed car. do like satan is my motor, or sheep go to heaven goats go to hell. every one on the team shows up to BS insec wearing giant foam cowboy hats and foam rubber vests.
Ok I was driving down the road the other day and saw a durango and was like I wonder if anyone has thought of.... Durango Unchained.. I have no Idea how it would work.. I know the dodge is not a race worthy vehical which would make it even more Lemons like.
Could be done with any car, as long as it was over the top.

I take it you haven't seen a Dodge Dakota R/T hammer down on an autocross track.
I'm thinking Laser Sheep Bus

Play (blare?) it from a PT Cruiser, in order to compete against the Nyan Car. The PT Cruiser would have Slant Six power, because that's just what you do with a Chrysler product.
Has anyone done a Wilhelm Reich/Orgone Theme? Decorate your car to look like a Cloudbuster, preferably using the ridiculous Kate Bush music video as inspiration. Dress the team up like the video for maximum effect. Kate Bush as a boy(?), Donald Sutherland as Wilhelm Reich, and a handful of '40s G-men hauling him away. Over-acted to the max.
Just please don't blast the song nonstop for this one.
Werner Herzog talks about how stupid chickens are.
Tell me there's not a theme possibility there.

I felt like Werner was trying to hypnotize me.
"It's sensible and Swedish on one end, and fiery and Italian on the other. I give you...the Salfa Romeaab!"
Liam Nissan
I swear I've not had anythign to drink.

Half-Lincoln, half-AMC, half-Nissan?
That works too.
I was thinking Qui-Gon Jinn, Oskar Schindler, Valjean and other characters
I think a porsche team should all do magnus walker impressions/ dress up.
This was so obvious I don't even know how I missed it.
ACHIEVA HUNTER!
Hood ornament would be one of these:
Apparently these were built for the movie on air-cooled VW chassis. Go figure.
How about the Clambulance

How has there not been an ALF-a Romeo yet?
