Topic: 2nd Annual Over/Under 2 Litre Invitational @ CMP
Benefitting ALSF and their tireless efforts to kick the sh!t out of childhood cancer, CMP will once again host this Race-within-a-Race at Fall South.
Like last year, all participants will get a totally crappy decal and the opportunity to win ownership of an even crappier trophy that stands as testament of your commitment to one of the most worthy humanitarian causes extant. Buy-in for this gem of an intra-event is a $20 donation to ALSF and every dime goes to the charity.
If your heap is 2000cc or less, than your team will be classed as a Buzz Bomb. 2001cc or greater, a Cruise Missile. In addition to your pathetic excuse for a trophy and the general feel-goodness that you will get from your contibution, there will be some other (liquid, of my personal recipe) enticements to keep your POS moving under its own power just a little longer than every other participant.
Let me know that you want to register for the 2nd Annual Over/Under 2 Litre Invitational by responding on this forum:
1-Team name
2-Car make/model
3-Car #
4-Displacement
Last year, between CMP and Thunderhill, Lemons teams were able to contribute nearly $5000 to ALSF! That kind of generosity is a very special and meaningful thing, and the kids benefit from every penny, believe me... Obviously we would love to surpass last year's take but anything we can do for them will be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, if you win your Lemons class (I got jokes!), you are DQ'd from winning the Invitational. I'm looking at you, Hong Norrth. So basically we're awarding the 2nd best or first loser, sort of, but we're all winners if we can crush last year's total raised at the 1st Invitational.
I will get with everyone who signs up at the block party on Friday to squeeze the Jackson out of you. Or you can grab me at the paddock over the weekend; I will be in the black T-shirt with the yellow p1800 on the front.
