Topic: LeMon's documentary is so on!

Hey all, our team has been working day and almost night trying to get our first car ready for Lemons. Since we have no actual race footage yet I thought this would be an appropriate teaser/trailer for what I hope is a well received documentary.

(Goes to attention an salutes), if I had large, rediculous piles of money everywhere, I'd pay for that to be in a slot for something like the superbowl/friends finale commercials... that was the best, most epic sneak-peak I've ever seen.  Gave me motivation.  Now I need to do the same thing for the neon build...

Nice job on the videos guys!    Need some more detail on the Audi turbocharger and the culligan water jug fed water injector.   That is some serious barnyard technology there.

Our team has the black MR2 that was at practice day next to you figuring out how to drive.   We will make sure to bring plenty of spare MR2 parts with us, as we are all probably going to need them.   It was great to meet and visit with you today.

Thanks for all the compliments on the video! I hope I'm not over promising on the real thing..

Bumkus, it was great to meet your team as well! I'll try and make up a video re-cap of testing day. It turned out most of our problem was a maladjusted tps sensor. As for the water injection, we just need to find a suitable one way valve off the throttle body. The one we had was only working so long as our Nalgene-boost bottle wasn't completely full. I've been told a valve that is used in the brewing of beer may do what we need. :-)

Hola Lemon heads!

It's been a while since I posted in here. I suppose I should have been keeping everyone up to date with where the Denver documentary filmed last year is at. Do not worry. There will be a film.

As I was working on a sequence yesterday, I was reminded by the footage that most LeMon's videos don't get to a place where anyone but the film crew gets to see the footage. That will not be the case here. It's taken longer than expected to edit the thing into a cohesive story. Add to that, I severely underestimated the budget to produce the film. So I've been working as the sole editor since not long after the race. And I've had to take other jobs here and there to pay the bills (this is now a labor of love), which stretches the time taken to edit out longer.

As of today I have the process of us building the car at 16min long and all it needs are sound adjustments. I have most of our team racing (and by racing I mean we were competing for most time spent in the pits) worked up in rough cuts that are getting trimmed for time. Currently I'm editing sequences of the other teams to insert into the overall story. So thank you all for being patient!

We signed up for the upcoming BFE GP under the team name "victorious secret." If I don't have the film finished by then, I may shoot a little more (just me and a camera, way low profile) so at least we have some footage of our car on the track.

Again I apologize for the wait, especially to those who were kind enough to be on camera

Wondered what was going on with you guys.   

I used to run a video production business many moons ago, and would be interested in helping out any way I can.   I know that sorting through footage and logging can be tedious, and I'm sure you have a ton of good footage to work with.

This looks great. I think you're spot on with keeping it on the sillier side. It'd be great if it was something you could provide updates for even after the entire thing is cut and "finished".

So nine months after the race I've finally finished the show. I really want to thank everyone who was willing to be interviewed, talked to, bothered, and generally harassed by the camera crew. I edited what I could out of the other teams but ultimately most of that didn't make it to the final cut (maybe a deleted scenes will be necessary), but it helped as a guide to try and capture the essence of what makes a Lemon's race so unique.

yeah the end product turned out great. you captured a lot the main experiences of Lemons from the build up of the car, the theme, rules, then racing. really great job.
