Just the one Gingerman race and a good time to shake things down for the 24 hr at Autobahn.
So who's in and what are you bringing?

I'll start things off, Apocolyptic Racing will be there working the bugs out of the Celica in preparation for Autobahn.

We haven't been accepted, but The Rod Throwin' Fools are planning to be there with our MR2. Hopefully we'll have fewer blown head gaskets and more sunshine than last time at Gingerman. We're all chompin' at the bit for this snow to end and racetracks to open....we can't wait.

Priority Fail is in!  We're also in "shakedown" mode...same car, same engine, but now it's in the back.

Of course, assuming this is assuming we finish it and don't have to resort to our "backup" car.  Either way will be there!

Has your car ever been finished on Friday before the race?  Maybe it becomes unfinished starting 6 minutes after the race begins?  The line is really hard to gauge.

heh, I almost called you on Saturday to see if you wanted to rebrand as T.W.C. again this year... but, being that it was the 11th hour and I didn't want to needlessly complicate registration, I chose not to.

Burnt Rubber Soul Racing will be there with our Probe/Cougar.  Hopefully I correctly fixed all the damage that I caused when I hella smashed it up in the dark at Autobahn last year.

I'll be bringing a new driver this year to join our merry band of speed-challenged drivers -- my niece Jessica.  I predict she'll be one of our faster drivers after a few races under her belt.

Wisconsin crap will be there with our E36.  Wish we read online that the rear diff mounting points were the weak point of these cars before we endurance raced it for 3 years, after the last gingerman race we found that 2 of the 4 mounting point completely tore out from the chassis.  It will be ready but man is that a pain in the ass to repair.

Flying pigs will be there with two new members that used to race that brown v6 mustang.  Hope we can get all the bolts tightened this time (found 2 out of 4 trans mounting bolts finger loose and all 4 driveshaft yoke bolts finger loose and a missing nut on the bolt holding the rear lower control arm missing).  And this isn't the first time.  When it comes to discipline to make sure we tighten all the fasteners, we're a bunch of......, well.......pigs.  That and a cracked front control arm (why the heck did that happen?).  Finishing the last race without disaster was about as likely as pigs.......Flying.    Um, yeah.........

We had not planned on it but is theoretically possible.  We sold off our spare subframe so the engine in it would have to last the whole weekend (though we do have a spare for about everything else).  We had talked about bringing it with a for sale sign but thought Joliet would be a better venue...mainly because we could drive the Class C build to the track and trailer the Saturn with it being only about 20-30 minutes from our new build location.  That and I suspect Gingerman in April will once again be mostly hardcore midwest teams that are fully built and ready to go, verses lots of folks at Joliet just checking out the scene.
