Topic: Drivers Wanted for Rambler at MSR [Now full up]
Most of our second string of drivers has crapped out again due to weddings or lack of money or other quasi-legitimate excuses, so we're opening up the invite. In the interest of increasing the level of diversity in motorsports, we're giving prime consideration to those of the female variety (or those who identify as such), but this late in the game we're not going to be too picky. No prior experience necessary, but you do need to be able to drive a manual transmission. If you bend the car you have to help fix it, and we're gonna be right next door to the penalty box, so everyone will make fun of you. And Judge Steve will be grumpy. And Corey will shed a single manly tear like the old native american man in that anti-littering PSA from the 80s.
In the interests of keeping it simple and affordable, we're gonna call it $500 per driver for a team of four. $300 in fees payable on the website, $200 in cash for gas, tires, and incidentals payable to me or Bob at the track. Aside from that, you just need your gear and your yearly license up to date. Drive time will be split as evenly as possible, with possible option to swap time in the Dart depending on driver skill level and how competitive we end up being (probably not very). Cost also includes dinner Friday and Saturday. We tend to leave other meals up in the air since people have their own schedules.
We're also planning to host another Friday night party this year, only swankier this time. So you'll basically be in on the ground floor for those shenanigans.
Edit: Our roster is now full, FYI. See y'all there!
Index of Effluency, Heroic Fix, Class C Trophy, now hopelessly gunning for Class B.
