If we get our own class next year we can simply make it a race to the bottom!
6/10's - my ass!!
6/10's - my ass!!
I'm pretty sure that was all Scott.
Innocent.
Except for me encouraging Olaaf after 3 or 4 or more beers.
2014 Express in April - We need 3 teams to have a race in a race and our own class. Mexico is no place for a C class unless it's dependable.
DC and Katie hooning somewhere in the high desert.
hoon.
That is all.
Scott, is this you hOOning the "deathtrap"?
Chacho keeps sending me photos of the Barracuda, I think he likes you.

That would be a roger on that.
Scott +1
Death 0
Looks like that one harness belt is trying to make a run for it tho.
Count me in for 2014. In the turdcel if I have to, or maybe I can have the maserati ready. Nah, probably the tercel.

Could this be J's Car? In Mexico... These guys were very nice to us and visited to look over the Barracuda. They were having hot start issues but seemed to make it go and finished the 1000 miles of racing. A quick look at the race.

All of the pictures are of Scott because the next driver was astonishingly skillful and fast- he beat all of the race cars, official cars, and photographers on the next stint. He even obliged his fearless navigator with stopping for beer on the way home.
Olaaf - you hooning next year?
Olaaf - you hooning next year?
maybe.. rumor has it you are converting the 416 to EFI?
seriously though, add power steering (and i'll donate the steering wheel) a kilometer trip computer or odometer, a couple of pouches for stashing stuff, and a sub belt that i can actually wear and i'm down.
Well I raced in the NASCAR Corona Series for three years in Mexico. I pulled my race car back from Dallas to just about every decent size town in Mexico. Before you go try to race in Mexico please get a hold of me. www.team8racing.com There are so many things you need to know I don't even know where to start on the forum.
Thanks we're 9x years racing in Mexico. Join us.

Converting an A-body from manual to power steering will require shortening the column, from what I hear. I also hear that the stock power steering in these cars was horrible for road feel. Not sure if that could be helped by using a different PS pump or what.
April 3-6, 2014
The dates are set for next year.
Chacho wants us there. We get our own class and tech rules if we can get three teams (cars) together.
Cup holders please. It is such a pain in the ass fishing a new beer from behind the seat.
I think we should find a glutton for punishment to enter the K-car.
That is a fantastic idea!
The occupants would die however.
My first race in Mexico was an eye-opener. While I thought I was driving faster than the laws of physics would allow, the chaser ambulance was gaining on me and I had to drive stupid to prevent it.
Free to good home - one 2003 Honda Oddysy, missing catalytic converter, rear end damage, minor cosmetic damage to rear passenger side doors. (After hitting rear, other car slid against left side) All glass intact (cracked windshield), all lights intact, all doors operable, 183k miles, transmission rebuilt 60k miles ago, engine not burning any oil.
Title has a lien that's long since paid off, I have the origin certificate which you can take to the DMV to retitle without the lien if for some insane reason you want to title the thing to be street legal. You'll also have to replace the cat which someone liberated and probably the downstream O2 sensor. More likely this would make a good engine and transmission donor for some frankenproject.
Car is in Seattle, WA - still drives, but probably not street legal due to missing cat.
The engine and trans were still running great when I parked it two years ago, and it still starts right up. The rear end damage doesn't keep it from rolling straight, I drove it another 20k after it happened.
by giving it away free I am leaving maximum $500 headroom for the rest of whatever insane monster it ends up in - and I want it gone more than I want to worry about it's residual value at this point. If I don't get a taker in a day or two I'll do one of those donate-to-a-radio-station things, but I'd rather it go to someone who would do something interesting to it.
at the moment I have two extra cars, I'm trying to dial back. .
Car is in no way race prepped. Mostly in mechanically good shape, was maintained well until it got rear ended. Suspension damping and exhaust hanger on left rear corner are a touch dodgy.
