so today the Brat's fuel cell came in
gonna mount the jumpseats on it for safety.
made some tabs , still gotta make straps.
put some stuff in my s13's trunk....i think i need more silvia front stuff and aeromotive a1000's
and worked on that stupid hood. fiberglassing the holes shut and bondoing while the fiberglass dries. this is really testing my patience with this whole wait to dry thing. whateverz.

What engine is that? It appears to make SLIGHTLY more power than the 68hp stock flat four. The body structure on the one I had was horrid. I couldn't jack it up without the body twisting. I would have to jack up the opposite side to twist it back straight. Otherwise the doors wouldn't close.
I can't wait to see the finished product.
we have themes lined up for the many events we'll do later this year, for the debut, the brat is terrible/awesome enough just to rockout "subaru brat with jump seats"
the whole car will probably flex, this is Lemons, who cares. maybe if we get lucky it will break in half, and help us shave some wieght.

It's a supercharged LS-Series GM Engine... I highly doubt it's an LS9 or LSA... So I am guessing it's a run of the mill LS1 or LS2 with an aftermarket screw type blower. Nice choice...
But I think one of those Aeromotive pumps needs to be sent my way... I'll take the shiney new one.

ls1 with a magnuson. on my old drift car that i'm taking apart and building a new one. new setup will be HKE built 383 hopefully with a Magnuson TVS unit. Wanna do TX Mile and some other stuff with it as well as everyone's favorite american pass-time, drifting, you know you love it!
also in pertinance ot the brat, ill take some pics this week, its coming along.
engin is in and done, same with rearend, same with seat, and a bunch of other crap.
There's already a Lemons team named Rust in The Wind! We ran in Lemons New England 09' (#300) and we'll be doing more races in 2010.

in all honesty the name was decided after I couldn't stop singing kansas's dust in the wind to my girlfriend, then thought rust was a good excuse to keep singing it when she told me to stop

So we're almost done, and I have a test I didn't start studying for until about....4 hours ago in...1 hourish. yippee.
We couldn't get the mainfold to work so we spent $20 on a straight piece of alumanized pipe from a muffler shop, and setoff on a mission with our freinds Mr. Bandsaw, captain TIG, Master Rogers and several other shop buddies to turn that pipe not straight....ummmmmm....or something like that.

Just reazized I posted wrong picture that was originally a two inch diamoter straight piece of pipe then we piecut welded and built
Maybe you are doing it on purpose, but after looking at your FB page and everything you've posted here, I see no pics of the whole vehicle or even sections of it. They are all artsy closeups. I'd like to see some wider shots so I get an idea of how it looks with the new suspension and track width. It's a very cool project, but I'd like to see more of it.

the back looks AWESOME. we wanna get it done done before we take like full body shots though and get it a myspace page.
