Great interview!

I have that problem with hands any time I'm doing interviews, both for reporting and in job interviews. I always notice myself doing it and make a conscious effort to stop doing it, but for some reason, my hands continue to do their own thing.

Anxiety = Autonomous hands

So jealous.

So happy for the Porcubimmer guys.

We demand a full report, Scott.

Man, that autograph and artwork was put on [bad] bodywork.  The Lemony thing to do is break out the sawsall, perform an autographectomy, and graft a replacement on it before some TownCar with dead brakes pushes that fender up into the back seat in Turn 3 somewhere.  Take a picture of the artwork and have someone reproduce it in vinyl, slap it on, and you have a nice replica while the the original part is sitting on your mantle with a Billion-Dollar insurance rider protecting it.

But that's just me.  Nice job!

Thankfully Matt signed a bunch of other stuff for us too. We originally had no intention of him signing any part of the car that could get damaged during a race. We actually made a "plaque" that mounts in the back seat area of the car for him to sign (which he did), but while we were at the press junket, Matt was pressured by everyone around to sign the car, and we weren't about to stop him.

We gave some thought to removing that quarter panel and preserving it, but building those fins and then integrating the rear wing was so much work that we're going to leave it and take our chances. In fact, those fins (and laziness) are what gave us the idea to build The Homer in the first place -- when we decided to re-theme Prickstine, we wanted to re-use the fins simply due to how much time and work they took to build, and after some brainstorming, we decided The Homer could reuse the fins very nicely.

We've discussed this a bit and decided that we'll propose to Jay, Nick, and crew that if anyone hits that corner of the car, they deserve a special penalty, like wearing the Krusty mask for an hour at a Buttonwillow summer race.
