I know this, but for some reason I can't seem to put it into practice. And when it happens on-track, I think to myself "don't do it that way next time!". But it still happens...
I had the opposite problem at Thunderhill. After two races driving my own 70 hp EXP, I found myself taking the 'defensive' line a lot at Thunderhill. Even though I was driving a far faster machine. I had to force myself to consciously move out along the pit lane wall on the west side of the track before the left-hander. because my 'defensive' technique on the EXP would be to hug the left side and let the faster cars move over to go around me.
