Re: Who is in for Gingerman?

Yeah, they're ok. No clue how many miles left on them.

Brett, we'e so flush with half used tires that we all wonder if we should get an E30 as a daily driver.  Honestly, we may have 20 tires up in our team mates garage.  I don't know.  Maybe more.  Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!

Give them out as party favors! Any of them good enough for street use? I'll be looking for new shoes for my street Neon.

We're not racing this weekend but I'm coming up Saturday just to see everyone and enjoy these fine racing machines.

Apparently someone on our team doesn't understand how + and - relate to red and black wires, specifically on the fuel pump.

Also, the crank position sensor likes to die while the car sits...second time this has happened.

See you at Gingerman!!

Hilarious.  Does he still get to drive?  Does he at least have a few bruises?

I too have recently suffered a CPS issue.  When you swap engines in an escort, make sure you check the housing that that you attach the CPS to.  They're slightly different in the Auto vs the Manual.  If you don't check the housing and put the engine back in the car, it will not start because it has no spark.  THEN, you'll have to pull the engine out of the car again, replace the housing and sensor and put the engine back in the car.

To make it worse, the housing is held in by a single bolt under the flywheel.  One FUCT(U^T(R&^$%&^TYOIY) bolt.

I've lost a lot, but the Fairlane finally won an IoE.

I can't get too mad at the guy, he did most of the car's electrical this weekend in a 36 hour period that did not include sleep.

Sounds like I can never complain about working on a VW again, that is incredibly awful and I'm amazed you figured it out!

Sounds like I might have to work out a deal with you. Or drive out to Iowa.

trailer towing vehicle currently broken down in Indiana(car is still in Chicago)-- why do I feel like I've been here before??

looks like the Quantum might be making the 150 mile trek to the track under its own power, although I should probably take the light bar off at the risk of pulling a Supra Troopers.

I'll see if we can throw in another 4.  We're only bringing one car so we have more room than usual. Look for us on Saturday. smile

Rain gear, boots, snow gear, hats, and gloves all packed.  It's gonna be cold and rainy as usual on Saturday.

Still hoping for good weather, but it's looking doubtful.  Sunday should be ok.  At least it isn't supposed to snow.

Those look perfect for what I need.

You could probably use those for Sundays at Gingerman.
