So it was a good weekend for the Lemons build, I had my friend Jamie and Kyle from (Mock Grass Racing) stop by and lend a huge helping hand, I'll post some more pics of what we got done later but for now here is a couple of things we did.

The oil pressure and water temp gauges are mounted outside of the car in front of the windshield using a piece of metal from my old shop heater.

The Cut off switch is mounted in easy reach of the driver and can be seen easily too

There were so many more instances of sanding and grinding on fiberglass that my shop could have been mistaken for a boat repair place. I'm not going to be able to post to many pictures since it's pretty much all theme work now.

Well Kyle this is the Catastrophic convertor with the muffler bearings removed. It requires a glass stretcher to install it

Just wanted to extend a big thank you to a couple of the head honcho's from Van Buren racing, they travelled from above Charlotte to my House here in Lexington SC to help work on my Lemons car. we managed to get the fuel pump back in, pulled all the springs and cut them another half round, plus a half dozen other mechanical issues that needed to be addressed.

I do plan on having it there for the CMP race, hopefully early Friday. I have my driver line up for the race unless something happens to mess that up. I'm almost to the point of getting this thing in primer and hope to paint it during the week of the 22-26. Plans are to insure it and stick tags on it so I can drive it around a bit and get some of the bugs worked out. I'm not worried about turn signals on it right now, I just stuck a couple of BMW badges on it so nobody will expect the turn signals anyway. I have one thing on the car that I'm worried about in tech so that's why I'm trying to get there early. Come on by if you get a chance, I hope to be able to post some pictures of it at the track on the day of reveal.

Got the windshield post painted so the windshield can go back in now. The car is currently getting the exhaust run and the alignment set.

So things are getting down to crunch time, I did manage to get the car over to the muffler shop right before I went on vacation, so the exhaust is finished along with the alignment and they even set the timing for me, since my ear doesn't work quite as good as it used to. I still have to paint the car but I did get it in primer before I left. there's a laundry list of things still left to be done, but if there wasn't I'd be worried. Most of the pics are all theme related so I can't post anything yet but September is just around the corner. Now where is my 10 mm socket ?

So I got enough of the car back together to be able to pull it out into my yard for some glamour shots. Plans are to put it on the T-shirts that we are having made so stop by our spot at the block party and check them out. Just look for the flashy car with all the haterz standing around it pointing at things

Sooo I'm getting super excited/nervous/panicattack/ that the race is just over a week away. Big thanks go out to my friends Jamie, Kyle,Jay and Craig for lending a helping hand to make this project come to a finish I couldn't have done it without you. Pictures won't be posted until the tech day Friday the 16th but they promise to be awesome. This Saturday is the official last weekend to finish up all of the little things before the car gets loaded up Thursday the 15th to head to Kershaws CMP racetrack for the 24 Hours of Lemons race. Stop by Downtown Camden after 6:00 for the block party where all of the cars will be on display for the B.S. Judging. There will be a live band and different vendors out peddling their delicious wares. The street is blocked off so you can walk around freely to partake in the craziness that is the 24 Hours of Lemons, Hope to see you there. BTW come by where my car is to register to win a beautiful glass mug filled with jellybeans all you have to do is be the closest guess without going over as to how many are in the mug.
