Last chump car race I went to there had 7 cars totalled or severely damaged.

That happens at every Chump race, no matter the track.  They don't enforce rules regarding contact so it's a high-speed demolition derby most of the time.  That's why we don't run our car in both series.

Pitt looks like fun, too.  2.8 mile track?  Yes, please.

Re: Watkins Glen?

Pitt looks nice, we would travel for that.  Also, Nelson Ledges is back in operation with significant improvements, maybe a 24 will show up there again, but I seem to recall hearing that was off the Lemons track list for good.  Maybe Pocono?

I honestly wouldn't be super pumped with a second NHMS, its a nice facility and ok track and all but one Lemons per year there is fine with me.

Can't really think of any other northeast(ish) tracks that would fit the Lemons crowd.  Palmer would be a logistical mess, Monticello is off the list, Limerock is to quiet and fancy, NY Safety track has a per vehicle limit per event that is really low if I remember correctly.

Yeah maybe we can put down rubber for them like we did at Monticello....The majority of us felt like outcasts compared to to the maybe 10 members of the club that usd to pits and  facilities there.  Loved the track.

Also if we are think Pitt you might as well include Mid Ohio because well whats another 200 moles right.

I'd drive there...

Track looks "fast"....lots of straights? Not to "crashy"?

Agree: one NH, Loudon race and one NJ race is enough..

and finally won something, Class C Win: Loudon, NH 2022

Re: Watkins Glen?

Top speeds at Pitt in our Civic are just about the same at Thompson, NJMP and Pitt race really.  Pitt is more fun and challenging than the other 2.  Lots of elevation change

No it's back in operation with new pavement, but it's not "Significant Improvements" It's getting there, but not quite yet. It's good enough for HPDE and way WAY smoother, but none of the off surface stuff has really gotten under way yet. They seem to be in a Catch 22 on the old tire disposal last I heard, but the walls did get re-stacked.

It's on the Chump calendar for next summer as a true 24. I'd rather let BumpCar shake out the changes first honestly.

I think Previous Ownership was what was keeping it off the track list. But they're gone now.

Absolutely not happening unless Mid-Ohio grows up. They were on the schedule a few years back then got pulled when they brought out one of the worst contracts ever. 50 cars on track, Fees for touching China Beach. Fees for turf, lots of crazy restrictions. And would have required double the entry costs. It would be nice, but not a suitable Lemons venue.

Too bad...a bunch of my wife's family lives within spittin' distance of Mid-Ohio.  The opportunity to combine a family reunion with a Lemons race would be too good to pass up.

Autobahn Country Club (it's even has Country Club in its name) has always been really welcoming to us Lemons racers and doesn't make us feel like 2nd class citizens.   Heck the members all come out and seem to enjoy our races.

How about Canaan one direction on Sat and the other on Sunday?  I actually left it out of my previous post because I think 1.3 mi is pretty short.  We could still pack 120 cars on it and resurrect the "Boston Tow Party" patches.

What the Parking lot with a track? Established venue tracks tend to have better facilities and better paddock. Every "Club" track I've ever been to has been as soulless as a strip mall. And they never have any good viewing positions. They are designed solely for the Members to play on track. Zero consideration to anything else. They may be fun tracks, but they are hell to live in for a weekend.
