We've had a couple of "people's" cars (communist, soviet, eastern bloc, etc.) and Mad max themes, but I'm curious if anyone's done a proper post-apocalyptic socialist movement car. Something like 1984's INGSOC, or Fahrenheit 451's Firemen.

But seriously, "Because stair-car" would probably go over pretty well.

Just stumbled on this, and yes. There was a team at Sears Point in 2010 that had a killer INGSOC theme on a Mustang:

The really cool thing was that all the guys were dressed in INGSOC worker's coveralls for the whole weekend. It was an impressive effort. Just look at the number on the car for proof.

Re: Themes you'd like to see done

I just watched "The Cars that Ate Paris" yesterday, (and besides noting that if this is what Australia was like before the big one, things hadn't much changed by the time "Mad Max" takes place) Why has no one built one of the cars from this obscure gem of a movie?

I do believe one of the wrecks in in fact a Humber Super Snipe. But anyone could make one of these from just about anything.

Funniest, most true movie. Ever. I made my son watch it and he suddenly realized acting like a dumb@$$ wasn't cool. Granted, he still has dumb@$$ moments, but he doesn't revel in them like he used to.

I'd like to see a car (AM General mail vehicle?) painted as the TARDIS, and the team as different generations of the Doctor.

I shard this on the Pflugerville Pflamers' page since their car is tailor-made to this theme, but anyone running a 2nd gen F-body could pull it off.

I knew I liked you from talking to you at races and from the car you drive but the fact that you are watching "Disco Godfather" right now seals the deal for me.
