How far back, or clse, does the drivers' seat need to be?  Looking at some vids on Youtube, it looks close.  Claustrophobic almost.  Advice?

The only note about seat position is that if its more than 6" from the retaining bar (the thing your upper belts attach to from behind the seat), you need to brace your seat.

Otherwise most people have their seats on sliders to accommodate drivers of different sizes.
