Re: Sanity check needed

I think we need a special Wartburg versus Dauphine challenge. Winner of the race has the option to either (a) take both cars or (b) foist both cars upon the loser. smile

Re: Sanity check needed

Home now safe and sound from an utterly epic journey!  Car was tremendous wanted to run harder and faster than I had the nerve to give it on the street.

And as much as I hate to toot our own horn the first time I let others drive and I rode in our support car and actually got to see her rolling out on the highway I gotta admit, it was pretty hot!

Great job, Jim!!  You're a daring man.  I'm glad you got at least some of the BABE experience, and didn't have to spend a week at home moping.  Thanks again for letting me on your team & for all the hard work on the car!  See you later this week!!!

I can't pick out any single thing about it but that looks fantastic.

Thank you.

We were commenting that the car would do Bob Ross proud because its a series of "happy accidents"

We hadn't intended to move the front wheelbase, but the shorter overhangs look better.

We hadn't planned on the hot rod rake but it was needed clear the oil sump.

There are so many pieces that are just a matter of form following function but it really works.  I'd love to take credit for a great cohesive design process but its just a happy accident.

They both look great.  Awesome work by both creative geniuses.  I'm going to put my money on the dauphine in a match race though.
