Re: Injury Rate for Lemons?

I died of bordem at Summit driving around under yellow. Does that count?

There was quite a bit of speeding in the pits at Summit. That being said, I'm from Mass. and I have a higher risk of getting hit crossing the street than at a Lemons event. You build a REAL cage (the right way), you wear proper safety gear, you make sure that your car doesn't do things like lose wheels at speed, you pretty much control as much risk as you can. We have a rule on our team, if the front window cracks it means that the rusty frame rail collapsed so come in and stop racing!

Re: Injury Rate for Lemons?

The pits are dangerous. Most people (me) wander too and fro, "lookadat...lookadat". I used up one of my nine lives at nascar back in 93 at sears point. We got paddock passes to go along with our booze, dope, and etc. Those cars are big and doing 25 plus, and they REALLY want to get back on the track. I got cow-chucked. Hurt a lot more than getting t-boned at Altamont by a pink mustang.

I love going slow in the pits, in cars and on feet...
