I would also consider a Peugeot 604.

If it was good enough for Valery Giscard D'Estaing, it's good enough for a Lemons judge.

I'm still holding out for a gas-powered, chrome-bumpered (up to early-'74) 504 with a column-shifted four-speed.

Re: Napoleon's Retreat From Moscow Rally?

I"m kinda bummed I missed out on the peugeot 204 convertible for $500 in LA last week. "Ran when parked" in '98 sorta thing. Same seller also has a 69 BMW2002 for $500 that sold within seconds, from what I understand.

Otherwise, y'all will have to wait for me to find a nice gasoline-engined 504.

How about a gasoline-engined Turbo 505:

"NO VISIBLE RUST"

Wow, who'd have thought that a fiberglass body could make it 25 years with NO VISIBLE RUST!!!!!!

Amazing.
