Topic: Interested in racing? Crew for us (in CA)!

When I got into racing 30 years ago, I started by crewing for a Formula Atlantic driver. Learned a lot about car set-up, prep, trackside support, racing communications, race strategy... you know, everything but the driving, which is a lot.

We are a three-car team based in San Luis Obispo and we are seeking crew for prep (in SLO County) and race weekends. That's right, you could get a cheap education for a few years before you start your own team.

We will pay your crew fee at races. Camp with us at the track. You get yourself to/from work days and races and feed yourself, although there is usually plenty of food to go around.

Next race is Sonoma.

Can vouch for Bill being a good guy and not a serial killer....although you might end up wearing a wig and cape at some point.

+1 on Bill being  a good guy. He's always welcome back to drive with Half-Fast Racing any time, and I look forward to being a part of his team for a race or two in 2023.

Hi! My name’s Zack and I’m in SLO county. I’ve actually got my own Lemons car, but, well, I bought a $500 ‘76 2002 and let’s just say it needs more work than I can handle right now, but I’d still like to get into racing, and would love some edumacation before diving into my own car first.
