Topic: CMP in Sept Final number

So do we have a final number of  cars?

Has there been a decision on the track configuration?  I am trying to plan out the spares. and IF we go to the full course I would been to bring 8 instead of 6 tires ( counting the ones on the car) and two sets of Brake pads.

So if any one know please chime in.

Re: CMP in Sept Final number

The Lemons South event details page states its the short (west) course.  I haven't heard from the powers that be yet so I'm going with that.   http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/events/cmpsouthfall/

Brakes fixed, doing some odds and ends now...then an afternoon test in the parking lot!

It has been said that Lemons HQ targets 100 cars per race.  I would bet on that number.

And TAJ is correct, expect to run the West course.  It's great, you'll love it!

110  dam its going to be a parking lot.
Wanst there  about 76  cars at the last one?  I guess we will have to wait untill Sun when the cars thin out to do some good driving.

Re: CMP in Sept Final number

I think we had 96 cars start spring 09.  Hardly a parking lot, but lots of traffic for sure!  Think commute from hell.  (or maybe to hell)

Not all who wander are lost.

Re: CMP in Sept Final number

Ok Ill go  with the Commute to hell.

So it looks like the only place to pass more than one car will be in the 2 straight aways.. Hope I have enough power to do so.

Re: CMP in Sept Final number

96 or 110, it doesn't really matter.  That number drops BIG TIME in short order.  Before you know it you'll be racing against maybe 60 cars at a time.  In the spring there was plenty of room on the track and you should have no problem passing.

I agree with the passing part, but there is not a point in time when you are not running with or against someone.  It is a rare point in time if you have some clean air with no one around you.  I love that stuff.

Re: CMP in Sept Final number

I remember getting a few clear laps at the end of day 1 last spring.  That was the best time for me running in the evening as the sun was going down.  It was pretty neat.
