Re: How to value a 'free car'

I spent more money on the free car today.

$44.87. That got me a fuel filter, oil filter, 5 quarts of oil and a roll of black pinstripe tape.
( which looks great applied! )

Since themes that have jumped the proverbial shark were brought up, I'm surprised the omnipresent police car theme didn't get mentioned, nor the scatological themes and plays off of the word "lemon", but hey, even a played-out theme beats no theme, I suppose.

ZX2's are fun little cars for commuting. I've owned two, and logged almost 90k in the first one. Properly gutted and set up, it should hold its own. If he starts burning other cars on the straights, we'll know he cheated.

Wait to reserve judgement until you see it. If it's just like all the other crappy "tanks", hippify us. If not, give us credit for something cool and unique. I think you'll like our new look. Hell, one of my own pit crew members came over a few days ago and didn't even recognize the Lincoln! Besides, anything looks better than this:

Re: How to value a 'free car'

Our armored S.W.A.T. Assault Vehicle does NOT look like any of the above. It does not even look like a Lincoln. Our cannon also is unique in what it can do. I'm not gonna give you a sneak preview. I'd rather it be a surprise. Let's just say that we hope to turn heads and generate a bunch of laughs.

Re: How to value a 'free car'

We want in so badly that we will be starting a public campaign to get the attention of the Lemons staff.

Watch for our car being trailered repeated around the Lemon HQ complex.

Look for 'filthy' on highway billboards, tv and radio spots, loud speaker interrupts on ice cream trucks and 'homeless guys' in Gulf jumpsuits ( our team members ) with signs that read: 'will work for Lemons'.

I have an 'in' with the ALMS, so watch for 'filthy', as it may be the Official Pace car this year for the Monterey Sport Car Championships.

Re: How to value a 'free car'

Now, there have been plenty of Lightning McQueen themed cars, but has anyone tried any of the other cars from that film? I'm thinking that The King would be nice, but given this crowd, Mater seems more likely.
