I was way into what may be the most Lemons-tastic band ever: The Lords of Altamont, until this past weekend when they put out a facebook post to the effect htat they were breaking up after 13 years.

I'm a big fan of most anything noisy, 90s-ish, droning, loud, catchy, prog-y (sometimes), spacy, psychedelic, experimental, and any combination thereof. Lately, I've been listening to the old Chicago noise-rock standbys of Shellac and The Jesus Lizard. Aluminum-necked guitars make my pants tighter, too, I should say. Sorry, my nerd is showing...

Austin Lounge Lizards.
Sorta bluegrass with a big side helping of humor.

When I'm not listening to them, it's usually '60s folk, surf guitar, and a huge blend of everything else.   I have very eclectic tastes, fueled by an excellent local live music venue, The Coffee Gallery Backstage.

i leave the shop radio on AM talk radio (cheap security...either there are people inside talking, or there is a gun crazy tea party type inside.... waiting)

LowFlyin replaces it with his MegaMan compilation (we're convinced he has 8-bit ears)

other people in the shop have a couple custom pandora stations.

it just depends on who gets to the shop first.

My wife listens to Air One and gets upset that I listen to Iron Maiden, System of a Down, and other metal, so I started listening to War of Ages and As I Lay Dying. She isn't any happier. Oh well.

Radio in Chicago sucks so I'm glad someone started this thread. Some great new leads so far. Keep them coming.

I'm more an old school rock guy but lately I've been listening to some psychobilly stuff, Reverend Horton Heat, Nekromantix, Creepshow, and throwing in some Rancid and The Johnstones as well. The rest of the guyus look at me like I'm loopy or something.

Haven't turned on the radio in my car since i bought it. Slacker radio on my phone through bluetooth sync.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of  Screeching Weasel

I've also found that I really don't care for christmas music, or atleast the christmas music that is on the radio station that is playing it whenever someone turns it on.  Nothing against christmas or even the songs, just that all the ones being played seem to be really awful versions made to get a quick buck.

I usually listen to AM talk radio on the drive to and from work.   Its refreshing to hear there are others more screwed up than I think I could ever be.

As far as music, I like hair band power ballads, disco, and 70's / 80's / 90's rock.

Country music, blues, jazz, rap, and anything bubble-gummy / autotuned makes me ill.
