Topic: Got a bulletcam!

I was talking about this earlier in some thread I don't remember, but here it is, a $45 eBay CCTV 1/3" sensor Sony CCD bulletcam, with a wide-ass lens on it.

Re: Got a bulletcam!

this is pretty much what we ran @ CMP spring south for all of saturday. we had a MONSTER-sized battery so? we just rotated tapes between stints. works great but pulling tape to digital is a pain in the ass. We had ours on a suction mount in the upper-right corner of the windshield. should work well.

Re: Got a bulletcam!

Very nice. That's exactly the kinda camera I'm looking at... now to figure out a solid-state recorder.

Re: Got a bulletcam!

Got a new video, using the slightly tighter 110° and faster f/2.1 lens. It's mounted with an Adel loop clamp to where the passenger-side foglight should be on my Focus.

Re: Got a bulletcam!

cool point of view on both of those.

Re: Got a bulletcam!

Anybody found a good cheap DVR to use with a bulletcam? My DXG-521 Roadster had the "cheap" part covered, but otherwise it sorta sucks.

I'm thinking of using this, but I don't really have the money right now to spend on it - I still owe money to my team! - so I need to decide in the next week or so if I want it!

Re: Got a bulletcam!

SuperCircuits has a few mobile DVRs, one for $120.

We got parts for our office surveillance system from them, so they send me catalogs now. The last one had a couple pages dedicated to mobile equipment. They also have some stuff intended for law enforcement (in car cams systems) that would probably work, but FAIL in the "Cheap" category.
