Topic: searching / viewing internet cache?

Unfortunately, I use the default Safari browser on my dated macbook pro. I'm trying to get a phone number off of a craigslist ad that I found for some wheels I want, but the ad went dead yesterday and I'm wasting an inordinate amount of time trying to find a search engine that will show enough of the ad in it's "preview" mode that I can get the number from it. But I think the number was too far down the ad

I opened the page and can find it in my history, but it won't open using that link even with the internet off ("can't connect to that page").

Is there any hope for me retrieving that number from my browser history cached feature?

technical crap: Safari browser 5.0.5

Re: searching / viewing internet cache?

thanks, but looks like, through that link, there are only 2 caches for January. The ad I viewed was just this past Friday (2 days ago).

Re: searching / viewing internet cache?

This looks promising.

Re: searching / viewing internet cache?

thanks. I found that post already. And under cache there is no Safari option/selection/folder on my macbook under cache.
