Topic: Austin TEXAS driver/teams, announce yourself here!

There have been a few teams come and gone from the Austin, Tx area, and just recently a few folks (Littlest Lemon, KIDA26) became active in the forums, so I thought it was time to do a quick shout out and see who was still kicking around the area.  I'll go first.  wink

I'm in Round Rock, just north of Austin.  I have no team in the immediate area, the two I drive with are both way far away from here.  I've got a few races under my belt, and hope for many more in the future.

If any teams in the area are needing a hand wrenching or other activities, I may be willing to help out, schedule permitting.  I'm a weekend mechanic, I can work my way around the basics, also electronics/wiring.


As an aside, I've thought for the last few years that it would be awesome if we had enough local cars to enter ourselves in the annual Chuy's Christmas parade, it would be a nice counter-point to the Corvette club that's usually there.

I live in Leander. I drove ECR with a team out of Dallas. It would be nice to find a local team.

Have 2 cars we wrench on at the house and hope to have a new shop built before the end of summer in the back yard.  South Round Rock/RR west neighborhood.   

Car work is sporadic at best since we completed the Lemons build but we need to start tearing into it soon to prep for the 24 hr race in Houston this sept.  Like us on facebook and watch for posts there, we may(stress may) have driving opportunity for MSR but always welcome ppl stopping by to shoot the shit and turn a wrench. 

Would love to do the Chuy's parade.  Make it happen captain!

I run team Car-B-Q, most of us are here in Austin.  I'm down for Lemons craziness, keep me posted.
