I know running a dealership can be profitable, especially selling Chev in the 50s to 70s, and if you've got low overhead, sure... But the idea of parking more than one or two new Chevs during that time just seems crazy. How many cars a year could a joint like that sell? 100? So how do you justify setting cars aside like that? I would call it hoarding. Without the benefit of historical perspective, I probably would have stopped after 1 last-year big block 454 Chevelle (end of an era) and a Corvette pace car '78. You couldn't have known that the '67 really was the prettiest Vette ever made, or that the COPO Camaros would be worth well into 6 figures.
