Looks like it has a low light feature and is even smaller. Can't wait until the old models come down in price.

I think Go-pro is slipping. They still have the bulk-est camera on the market with the fewest features and worst user interface. The picture is great, but with all the other issues (some fairly big issues with the version 3 camera I believe) are the reason I am looking at other options. I have an original Hero HD and wanted an upgrade so I started shopping.
The contour is looking nice, tho I haven't read the reviews of the current version. The big deal is the GPS overlay and the older one had accelerometer data I believe. Should make it easier to overlay track maps with speed data on the video. http://store.contour.com/ae/us/cameras/ … /invt/1701
Thank me, this happened because I just bought a Hero3 Black.
Word on the street is that Contour's going out of business...
I looked at the Contours when I bought my first GoPro, then I found a used Hero 2 for $150 when the Hero3's came out. I would love the GPS overlay and the accelerometer, but the video is all I really care about at the end of the day.
As for the one who just bought the Hero 3 - Welcome to my world - That stuff always happens when I buy something, next week, the new model comes out. So is the world of technology.

Here here. Just bit the bullet yesterday. FML...
Contour is going away, which makes me sad. I love my ContourHD. form factor is way better, and some of it's features are just better (rotating lens, lasers for alignment, it had an app for your phone for remote viewing before GoPro did, etc).
I'm probably buying a Contour+2 at some point before they vanish forever.

Lol yep me too I got a Silver a month ago.
I did see recently that Garmin just came out with an "action cam" http://sites.garmin.com/virb/ You would think being from Garmin that GOS would be standard. Nope, the standard one at $299 doesn't have GPS, but for an extra $100 you get GPS and Wifi, plus an accelerometer & altimeter
Sony on the other hand just calls theirs the Action Cam http://store.sony.com/c/Action-Cam-Full … Action_Cam Sony Action Cam starts at $199, and is $299 with GPS built in. Sony seems to have at least as much support as GoPro and I think this is the 2nd generation action cam.
Our Contour HD has been nothing but trouble. We've gone back to using a Hero2 and a Hero3. The Hero2 is still the more reliable of the two.
The 30% more battery life isn't really interesting for our application. 20% slimmer is nice, but until they fit under a valve cover, I'm not really interested in the size, either.
Of you have a old I phone or newer I pod with GPS , try track addict . Does overlays speed and g meter for 6 dollars . Can find cheap old iPhones for less than a used go pro . And works with race render to edit
I personally smashed $500 of GoPro equipment into rubble in a frustrated rage. I found this for $67 works flawlessly.
