Topic: Any Lemons cage builders in NC/SC/VA?

Any Lemons enthusiast that's built cages before in this area?  Our cage will have to be built from scratch (unusual car) and I'm not sure I trust my welding when it comes to something that my life may depend on.  Naturally, our racing budget, even for safety items, isn't going to interest any investment bankers, so I'm looking for a relatively reasonable builder...any suggestions?

Thanks!

X 2 but is BUSY this time of year and you probably wont consider him cheap but his workmanship is top notch.

Fall South 09- 23rd place
Southern Discomfort '10 Magnum PU- 5th place
Spring South '10- 1st...... LOSER!

Might want to check around at some of the circle-track race shops or 4x4 shops.  Don't leave the interpretation of the cage rules up to the builder, it can easily bite you in the ass.

Just curious, but are you planning to run a TR6?   If so, that would be a fairly easy car to weld in since it has no top.....  wink

Re: Any Lemons cage builders in NC/SC/VA?

Yup.  Back from Detroit on pickup (yeah, it was a long way, but how often are you going to find a suitably priced and conditioned TR6 for Lemons???)

You can see the beginnings of the team blog here: <http://riffrafracing.blogspot.com>

Thanks to all for the advice.  We're not planning to race until May so we have a little time to get into the queue at whomever we end up with...or even if we choose to try it ourselves (not likely unless we recruit a welder...)
