It's gonna snow... No matter what the forecast says, it ALWAYS snows. Plan on it!!!
Well all the snow is now finally gone up here in south haven. The lake still has quite a bit of ice on it though. As long as the wind isn't coming off the lake we should be good. Or we will just freeze our asses off like we always do.
The record high in South Haven for the month of April was on the19th at 89*. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, you doubters.
After the ECR fiasco (weatherman called for 65-degree temps, we got 18 degrees and cobble-sleet) last month, I'm packing Arctic-grade warm clothes for Gingerman, regardless of the weather forecast.
The average high for South Haven on the race weekend is 58. All I can figure from that is it used to be alot warmer in Michigan before Lemons races started happening there.
And it's snowing up here in south haven now. Gingerman opening day is tomorrow!!!
Wasn't there supposed to be freezing rain?
Wasn't there supposed to be freezing rain?

It works like clock work at gingerman, friday windy and rain, saturday cold and sleet/snow, sunday perfect weather and blown motors
Poor engines, couldn't take the strain!
Snow/rain for next Monday.
If anyone's looking for an electric camping spot near the bathrooms, another one's opening up. I've got some issues with the RV so I cancelled my camping reservation. Will stay at a motel instead.
Wunderground predicting rain high of 50F all race weekend. It still will snow.
Anyone know how early on Thursday you can park a trailer at Gingerman?
Wunderground predicting rain high of 50F all race weekend. It still will snow.
NWS call for early next week: "ALL MODELS SUGGEST A SIGNIFICANT COOL DOWN BEHIND THIS SYSTEM FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY WHICH COULD LEAD TO A RAIN/SNOW MIX."
Sorry for the caps, you'd swear they were sending the discussion over an old school Baudot teletype.
Well... It's snowing today. Let's hope it gets out of this weather pattern this weekend. Not looking overly warm yet.
2 - 3 inches of snow predicted for Oakland County (north of Detroit) tonight. West of here usually gets it worse because of lake effect. Nobody anticipates it lasting though, so it'll be just another cold and flooded weekend.
It just snowed about 6" in Denver yesterday. Whatever weather is here usually shows up in the Upper Midwest about four days later.
Things are looking up. Temps around 53, chance of rain.
Here is what my deck looks like right now in south haven. Only an inch of snow tonight.
I like this picture!!!
We all know it's going to be butt freezing and probably snowing for the race. That's a Gingerman-in-April tradition.
I like this picture!!!
It's starting to like it the more I see it too.
Latest weather predictions is calling for cold and rainy weather on Friday but Saturday looks OK maybe even halfway nice. Their calling for cloudy weather for Sunday. Highs in the 50' both Sat. & Sun.
