Re: Chrysler slant-six - is it as reliable as they say?

Yeah, I know the bell housing is unique to the six drill. Ford did it too. If I had just wanted to throw money at it I could have bought a 1st gen Mustang flywheel and bell housing and a Ford Top Loader, but then I'm not racing in Lemons because I like silly costumes. We ended up getting a rare Ford six to SROD bell housing, then opened up the center hole 2mm, welded and re-drilled the four mounting bolts and BAM! 2.3l T5 5 speeds bolt right up.

So what I am saying is, as much trouble as it is, it will seem as if you added 50hp to the car at the rack.

Those aren't progressives? Just 4 36mm throttle bodies? Pretty sure that's too much carb for driveability sake. I'm sure they make it sing at WOT, but I think that is the equivalent of a 750cfm Holley 4bbl, but with the secondaries opened all the time.
