Topic: All you guys now building awesome/ridiculous cars for the '10 season

I'm planning to do a "2010 Lemons Preview" post on Jalopnik before the end of the year, and I need info/photos from the teams building/planning machines such as the Wartburg, 280SE Rote Sau, Holy Nickelbag twin-turbo GMC van, etc. Yes, you loons with the V12 Edsel, the Group B Le Car, the Prefect, and all those quasi-secret projects that ought to be ready for the limelight by now need to email me with photos, links and info if you want your car to be included. Remember, it becomes much easier to squeeze money out of potential sponsors when your team gets such coverage!

Email sent... hope the Anglia's count

Re: All you guys now building awesome/ridiculous cars for the '10 season

Love to be included, but a '99 escort isn't really much to look at.

Re: All you guys now building awesome/ridiculous cars for the '10 season

We to were holding our cards until it got closer but, the cats outta the bag about the 4.0(possibly ghetto charged) 54 Nash Custom Rambler...but we are redneck slackers and havent even really started building yet just aquiring parts...but if you want some pics I would be abiliged.

Does our Cessna 172 count if we've already run a race?  It has a honda under it.

You need to install a Packard engine in it.

If you've got the car and a heap of parts, that's enough for the purposes of the article. So, yeah, send me photos ASAP.

Re: All you guys now building awesome/ridiculous cars for the '10 season

Much to everyone's dismay, the SVX will likely return in 2010. I wanted to make it into an Aerocar, but my whole team is against it. Something about it being "ridiculously dangerous",  oh and "will never work".

Re: All you guys now building awesome/ridiculous cars for the '10 season

Mine is not as cool as those foreign cars...

We have the MK2 MR2 that we will race in most events, but I am going to field a MK1 MR2 in the 24 hour to prove that they can last and that they can look cool doing it with out spewing water all over the landscape.

Everything about the Wartburg is posted at http://wartburg.misfittoysracing.com including pics but if you need something different/better/weirder let me know.

Still stressing the build time but it will get done somehow.

I'm pretty sure that what we are doing with Wuddy, the Pinto Wagon has never been done before, simply because no one in their right mind would do it .

Hey! I've been working out the logistics of doing that to a mini! Wouldn't happen until the Dec. Arse Freeze at the earliest, though.

Not sure if it is either awesome or ridiculous, but some idiot is "re" building that destroyed piece of crap formerly known as the Killer Bee, using all the old sheet metal. Bodywork courtesy of his new best friend Mr. Sledgehammer.

"ZomBee". Must... Eat... Civic... ECUs...

Ridiculous? Not here at Lemons. smile

I like the idea of anything with a Packard engine in it! My dad had a '32 when I was a kid and I still have fond memories of it. It was a hoon-special of it's day too, back in 1942 a previous owner had pulled the Packard engine out of it and replaced it with one from a Duesenberg!
