Topic: October Joliet Race - Who's coming?

Just saw that Jay's "apps due this weekend" email mentioned that we'd be running the south course for the Saturday session (and presumably the test-and-tune on Friday) and switching over to the North course only on Sunday.  This is the first time I've seen mention of this!  I don't think many Lemons type people get the opportunity to drive the North course by itself.

We'll be there in the mid engine golf if we can get everything fixed that we broke during the 24 hmm  Joliet hates us.

My email didn't say which day we're running which course but it does say we'll be switching.

Autobahns website still says south for both days but I can't see it a problem switching from north to south.

North alone hasn't be used for Lemons since 2010 for the first year.

We lost either the transmission or the throwout bearing in the purple S-10, and 2 of the 4 team members can't attend... not sure we are going to make it at this point.  The 24 hours was awesome, and the facility was WAY better than Gingerman... so we would love to be back there.

The email today said south on Saturday and north on Sunday.

We will be there with the Metro for sure.  Maybe the BMW also. 

Funny how things have flipped again for us...

1st it was the Metro only, then both for a while, then just the BMW, then just the new Metro.... Hope to get back to being a two car team if we have the drivers.

We won't be -- gonna test the AER waters at Mid-Ohio in October.  It's only an hour away instead of 6 1/2!

We are bringing the original (and much less impressive) Dustbuster  and may...just may...try to be really foolish and try to field the Saturn just so it does not sit in my garage.  If so, may need a couple of a arrive and drives.

I was trying to make it, but apparently what I thought was a team of people interested in racing has once again proved to be a mirage. May A&D CMP or Autobahn if I don't rage spend myself into finishing the car quickly all out of my own pocket just out of spite at the world.

Not like it was hard to tell.  ALSO one of my other team members picked up a car for this race.

We almost have a 3 car team...a VW...a Camaro...and a Ford Probe.....
