Cant wait!
Knew it all along it was only a matter of time before one showed up.
Video of 2 stroke V8 in sand rail. Gives a good idea of what it really sounds like. Which is stupid loud. I love it.

Yeah, getting the db's down would be tough
In this engines, is oil separate from fuel or mixed like chain saw?
Chain saw powered Lemons car?
Chain saw powered Lemons car?
One per wheel!

Pretty sure the rudezon is mixed
You'd need something pretty light for that to work

*put down as Lemons domination plan*

This model of Evinrude came with an oil injection (VRO) system but, as with our team's two-stroke SAAB, it is considered prudent to remove all that and premix the fuel instead. In our case we didn't do this out of prudence so much as out of grudging acknowledgment that a previous owner had already junked the injector hardware.
Also it is worth noting that engines like this are designed to run at constant speeds. That combined with the high G cornering forces would probably lead to low reliability and engine life (i.e. blowupity on a track)
Yeah, there's no way to make a two-stroke live or go fast in a Lemons race. No way at all.

Isn't the snowmobile engined car two stroke (fast)? Oh, and a certain Saab (not fast)?

I remember seeing video of the Polaris powered maita, looked quick if you could keep some momentum

Thus, making it perfect for Lemons!
Endurance boat racing has been dominated by 2 stroke outboard engines for 5 decades. Until you get into factory backed exotic stuff, nothing with valve springs can do as well at max power RPM for 7 to 9 hrs. Lemons would really be nothing more than like pulling fat kids on an innertube. The hardest part would be keeping coolant temps down and dealing with the exhaust and clutch.
And when they do blow up, there is not a 100 yard streak of oil left on the track.

No, it leaves it in the air for all the racers lungs to filter out

While not the fastest thing on the track, it's low weight and great handling make it quicker around the track than a LOT of Lemons cars.

Oh, come on. That's only entirely true.

Actually, that car (now with Yamaha power) holds the Lemons track record at Chuckwalla by something like .7 seconds, which makes it the fastest thing on at least that track.

Still using the snowmobile clutch or have they rigged it to a transmission?
Still all-snowmobile up to the driveshaft.
Scott
Sweetness, I've got a arctic cat ( ahm Suzuki) 700 I've been looking to use in a project just haven't found the right thing...
hmm, snowmobile. Reminds me of F500. Fun little things.

Those rotax engines are sweet! We have a mini sprint series that runs that same setup
