Topic: Gearhead Kickstarter - car culture zine reborn

I'm not affiliated with Gearhead but am a fan. It's a magazine/record label in NorCal. The magazine was printed from 1993 to 2009 and was very Great. The Kickstarter is to bring the magazine back. $35 gets you the first issue and a limited edition bitchin' T-shirt.

The Gearhead ethos seems very Lemony (to me). Hot rods and garage/punk rock. Chip Foose need not apply.

One of their current bands is The Lords of Altamont. How Lemony is that? Great band too.

It was my connection to Gearhead (Mike Lavella lived near me in Alameda and I used to run into him at Lee Auto Supply) that got me my first car-writing gig back in 2007.

Gearhead Mag Kickstarter is halfway there, but the campaign ends 12/2.
