Topic: RX7 Diesel Swap

While checking Craigslist for 12A motors, I came across this ad: https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/pts/5322222715.html

Im converting the car to a diesel so you can have a lot of the accessories that go with the motor that I dont need for the little diesel Im putting in it.

I seem to remember that Mazda had a little diesel pickup back in the 80's, so I guess it should bolt right up to the transmission.

Wonder if the Ranger diesel is what you are thinking of?  Not many sold but it existed.

I believe I have actually seen a diesel B2200 somewhere at some point.  Anyway, I think Mazda used the same 5 speed MT for almost every single platform that was FE/RWD.

Same bell housing pattern, maybe, but the transmissions are very different.

For 200 bucks, that's a deal for a backup/parts motor
