Topic: Best Phoenix Penalty

Maybe the right and honorable judges can provide the details that go with these pictures:

All I can guess is that someone blamed their tires for their bad driving, and so the tires were forced to go sit and watch how good tires behave.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

I can answer this. They blamed their tires for their poor driving and we believed them.

So, we made the tires go sit and watch how it's properly done for 60 minutes.

"This is the scene where I get shot," Bronson said. "I have these little squibs that explode to make it look like bullets are hitting." "Fascinating," said Bergman. "I never knew how they did that." "You mean," asked Bronson, "you don't use machine guns in your movies?"

A set of guilty Azenis!

On an MR2 no less.

Those things usually perform about as well as a Z or SHO.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

The tire on the left is the really guilty one so the three on the right made him watch by himself.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

You should have had a few of their Falkens come talk to our Falkens. Ours were getting straight-A's all weekend.

60 minutes?  Oof.  That's a long time to spend not racing on race day.  What was their transgression?

Totally unable to keep the car pointed in a straight line

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

well, that's obviously the tires' fault.

although i don't know why you let the gas pedal get off scot-free; he certainly shared some culpability.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

Gas pedal...  Hell, it's the entire suspensions fault for not controlling the tires.  The struts/springs & shocks should have to sit out too.

We won the IOE at Southern Discomfort.
We got screwed at The Real Hoopties of New Jersey  and we took cars down with us.
We got the curse at Capitol Offense but they wouldn't let us destroy the car.

That's friggin' brilliant! Considering it is by far the most common tire in Lemons, their defense makes complete sense. It explains why none of us can drive in a straight line!

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

We had many teams blame their tires for their bad driving, so it was time to teach those tires a lesson!

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

Just wait until the next team blames their brakes.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

i have to admit the driver who lost it on the back stright on sunday was hauling some serious ass, probably making some awesome lap times in the MR2.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

clearly its the falken azensis's fault...excellent penalty!!

60 minutes is a VERY long time...but I'll venture a guess that this wasn't their 1-2-3 trip to the penalty box

Jonny didn't say "Totally unable to keep the car from randomly bursting into flames," so you should be fine.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

Looking at this video I can see some dirt on the track.. hence loosing traction.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5vYesj1tTA
But one would think that after you slide in a spot due to debris you would remember that spot and slow down, not going off the track.

But Dam there was so much room, Make CMP look like we were racing in a parking garage.

Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

If you could see it in that video, you could see it in real life, hence it shouldn't be a surprise. That goes double for the tires, since they're so close to the ground, they should really see it coming.
