Re: Best Phoenix Penalty

Our tires are generally pretty well behaved but we seem to have a problem with the gas pedal not wanting my foot to move to the brake pedal. I think the gas pedal is just plain possesive or jealous.
As a result we are forced to 'get busy' with the steering wheel, if you know what I mean.

Any suggestions?

Yes you have 2 options.
1, You can adopt the Audi 5000 pedal configuration where the brake pedal is to close to the gas pedal. So this way you can use both pedals at the same time.
2. A block of wood. Placed behind that pesky gas pedal will keep it from getting overzealous.

i have to admit the driver who lost it on the back stright on sunday was hauling some serious ass, probably making some awesome lap times in the MR2.

This is pretty unofficial, as Jay spent all of the transponder money on steak/cocaine and all the laps had to be hand recorded, BUT...

I spent a lot of time tracking various cars with the second hand on my watch.

The best MR2 lap we saw was a 1:15. Not bad on a 1.1 mile track.

With Sarah (with an H) at the wheel, the Eyesore's slowest lap was... 1:15. Sarah (with an H) was their slowest driver.

With ringer-extraordinaire Dave Coleman at the wheel, the Eyesore Miata turned a 1:10

The Eyesores were pretty much nailing 1:12-1:13 per lap. Which explains why they won by 30 laps or whatever

Contrast that to the Lightning McQueen Pontiac Sunfire that turned a 3:02 (not a typo) before we black flagged them off and had them remove hunks of metal from their "windshield."

Do all the Lady Eyesores drive or only Sarah (with an H)?

I still have fantasies of her French Maid and 'ho outfits.  smile

Two of them drive. Both Sara(h)s.

Oh yes, overcompensate.

No one will know.

Just so you know, Mr. Stud, Sarah with an H posts here on the forum.

I know you're trying to be funny, but please be a little more decent toward your fellow racers (if not people in general).  That is my teammate, co-driver and friend that you're disrespecting and I don't appreciate it.

Now, can we please get back to slandering JKav?

Not specifically defending Jer - but isn't dressing like that specifically designed to elicit that exact response?  All Jer did was put words to it.

And that by also having the guys dress like that creates the dichotomy which is funny.

We won the IOE at Southern Discomfort.
We got screwed at The Real Hoopties of New Jersey  and we took cars down with us.
We got the curse at Capitol Offense but they wouldn't let us destroy the car.

Sure, but aren't there more eloquent and respectful ways to say that you find someone attractive than that you would like to, what was the phrase, "bend over a fender"?

Half of our team is made up of good-looking women; a rarity in this sport.  I've seen plenty of comments to this effect before, but Jer's was on the other side of the vulgar line and I thought it went too far and said so.

Something I hadn't considered is that I'm in that picture too, so "hottie" may have actually been referring to me; in which case,  I'm all mixed up and shouldn't have said anything at all.

Well, maybe.  But maybe we're just talking about regional or cultural difference where such a term may be in common usage.  And that by not respecting such cultural diversity, Jer is in fact the one who’s been/being wronged in this exchange.  Do I need to break out a top 40 playlist where there is in fact many such references to the act of procreation that are less clinical and/or puritan?   Do we not enjoy the music even though the lyrics contain references that we might not say in mixed company or in front of our parents.

A popular Chili Peppers Song:

What I've got you've got to give it to your mamma
What I've got you've got to give it to your pappa
What I've got you've got to give it to your daughter
You do a little dance and then you drink a little water
What I've got you've got to get it put it in you
What I've got you've got to get it put it in you
What I've got you've got to get it put it in you
Reeling with the feeling don't stop continue

I mean, how can one truely object to one reference without at least taking pause and doing some searching about other things in our life that may be just as "vulgar" and are just accepted.

I'm guessing that when thinking of the theme they were thinking more of the comedy from the guys in the French Maid outfits than the women in them.

Also you guys really need to remeber this is a PUBLIC forum.  Don't write things you wouldn't want everyone to see you write 20 years from now.
