Topic: Racing Suits

We came across a pro team selling a bunch of very high quality one piece multi-layer suits.  They are FIA 8856-2000 and SFI 3.2/A5, but the SFI tags are not in some of them.  The FIA spec is sewn in the suit, and they are dated 2007 and 2008.  Will these pass tech as mulit layer with the SFI tags gone?

I bought an old Nascar pit crew suit that had no SFI tags and Jay said it would be a problem for it to pass tech. So I called Simpson and they said to send the suit. They would check it out and put tags on it. Cost $40 I think.

If you have those FIA tags, you should be fine without the SFI tags. You have to have one or another of the tags, not both.
