Re: I bought a Rolls Royce and want to build it.
Hmmmm. I was focusing more on the “Ecstasy” part, which would call for a decidedly different type of hood ornament.
No problem, just put some boobs on that snake.

Considering the size and parts content, you could do a Frankenstein theme. The Franken-Rolls!

Dude your theme is Viper-Powered Rolls Royce lol.
You could do something about posh-rednecks....? Grey-Poupon and Busch Light.
*Busch Latte (They actually temporarily changed the name on their cans)
Looks like you have put a ton of work into this build, can't wait to see the finished project.
I like it !
Guildenstern wrote:I like the Serpent of Ecstasy concept. Get someone to whip up a 3d print of a winged serpent to replace the hood ornament.
Or go even deeper and with that make it a late 50's Kustom Kulture sequined cocktail jacket hip devil theme like out of a Coop painting or the Forbidden Zone or Vincent Price from The Story Of Man Kind.
Black on Blood red RR two tone.
How do you come up with references to things like these?
I have to google most of this stuff
I think I have Dennis Miller’s Syndrome.
Maybe a Liberace theme? Candelabra on the hood etc....
Sequined jackets with ostrich feathers?

All sequins should actually be the broken tempered glass that results after you shatter the back windshield of the Rolls. You know, to keep it period correct.
I'm thinking two-sided clear contact paper. Press it into a pile of glass bits, then adhere it to your jacket.

Anybody have theme ideas?
I just can't seem to get this image out of my head...
This is the obvious answer
Just as long as you bring an Adriane Barbeau-bot!

Completely forgot about this...this is the proper theme.

Hmmm....I wonder if those crappy TIG welds will pass tech?
Seriously, damn nice work man!

Now that's interesting...
I'd be interested in helping you find a home (i.e., my garage) for one of those. Care to share details? PM if you'd like.
Thanks,
Scott

Ditto to the interest and PMing
Oh, I see how that works. Months long Lemons build to draw us all in, THEN the tig welder sales start happening. Best Sales Pitch Ever!!!
Seriously, share the deets on those welders publicly. I'm not in the market, but always interested in learning what something like the costs, etc.

I picked up a bunch of them from a prototype company. They are all essentially new and sat in prototype trailers and used them to power their DC equipment. The company eventually went out of business before they used them. They retail for around 15k each, I was probably going to sell them for around half that at 7500. I'd hook up the guys on the forum if somebody wants one.
Yea those are a serious bit of kit. Water cooled AC DC pulse with stick and gouge. Wish I had the cash for that because yea they ain't cheap.
Is it just perspective or is that rear hopp far enough back to make the harness bar a challenge for long enough belts to wrap around and still be buckled in for a corn-fed Midwesterner.
Not knocking anything as this build is amazing just more a potential warning to get the longest belts you can.
