a hole only a mini could squeeze through

Re: Mr. Bean Mini Hero Moment (Its good to be in a Mini sometimes!)

Nice! You Guys were right behind me when one of the Supras decided to wag its tail and force me in the white Rabbit with a bike on top to go rally racing. I hope you got it on video. It was the first driver in the mini to go out Sunday Morning. Also for those 45 minutes it was the Mini vs. Both of my rabbits. It was one of those classic battles. We were going back and forth for so long until I went off mowing the lawn. Great racing!

Yes, that would have been me driving, and yes got lots of video of all that! I'll get it edited and up on youtube as soon as i can.

Excellent! Let me know when it was up. Great clean driving by the way. The three of us were just working it for so long. I think the Mini clearly had us in the corners but we would get you back in the straights. Made me feel as if we were in some retro-touring car race. And the most fun I've ever had in a Lemons car. Thanks for being a part of it.

Now I know what our teammate was talking about when he radio'd "everything is OK, no contact!"

Thanks for not taking a bite out of our Cheeto!

Nice work Mr. Bean!

That Mini was getting it done this weekend!  Nice job!

Awesome video too.

Did the brakes on the Mini ever even get warm?  big_smile

TST, fool.

It's a Bunny.  With a pancake.  On its head.  Really, is it that tough?

That's what i was going to say

"This is the scene where I get shot," Bronson said. "I have these little squibs that explode to make it look like bullets are hitting." "Fascinating," said Bergman. "I never knew how they did that." "You mean," asked Bronson, "you don't use machine guns in your movies?"

Re: Mr. Bean Mini Hero Moment (Its good to be in a Mini sometimes!)

oh hell, now everyone is going to be expecting the drivers of the mini when it's up at Thunderhill to know what they're doing... If it were any one of us in the SD Minis club (who built/own the mini) behind the wheel at Sears, it would have been wadded up in that mess right away. Sure glad it was you, Dennis, and I didn't have to load a smushed up mini back into the uhaul.

I've said it before: Not too shabby for a little ol' 998cc mini!

And again, just for clarity-- the mini was exactly the same as it was at Buttonwillow-- we only took off the extra radiator, changed the oil, replaced a steering rack bushing and bent rack end on the driver's side (that was taken out by the V8olvo at BW), and got the A/F reading down to 13 from the 15 that it was at WOT.

At Thunderhill, we're thinking of turbocharging it... but gotta do something about that transmission now, as I understand it. Eh, who needs 2nd or 3rd gear anyway?!

Maybe it's time to upgrade to the 1275cc big block.

For a sense of just how ridiculously tiny the Mini is, let's compare it to a dreadnaught of a Rabbit and a monstrous Sentra.

Here is another video, sorry the sound/music is borked I'm working on getting that resolved, but the video is great.

That Video of you guys dicing with my Rabbits is priceless! You have footage in t with me having to go rally racing after I got cut off by a Supra.  And that photo of size comparison is really funny. "Dreadnot of a Rabbit" Freakin' Hillarious. Timmy C
