Topic: Sliders for Kirkey Seats

Anyone know of 'drop-in' sliders that'll work with Kirkey Series 65 seats??  I'd really rather not have to create any....

Re: Sliders for Kirkey Seats

Unless the 65 series is different than the old "Intermediate" seats (looks the same in the pictures) you have to drill your mounting holes in the seat regardless.  To be "drop-in" you would need a platform-specific mounting bracket (so we would need to know what you are putting it in) which do not exist.

That said, if you want a "universal" flat, 4-bolt, double-locking slider there are a few OEM options potentially at your PnP.  Cherokee XJ sliders or Volvo 240 are commonly used ones but depending on the width of your seat, you will still have to fab or buy side mount brackets at least for the rear (which also how you can adjust your seat tilt angle).

And finally, as devils advocate, why are you going with an inexpesive AL seat then sliders?  Unless the height disparity is HUGE (like more than 9") in drivers, many that get the Kirkey opt for homemade custom seat inserts for the shorter drivers.  You make the tallest driver slightly uncomfortable if you can get away with it to fit the median drivers then the small drivers use the insert.

We use the Kirkey Intermediate with sliders.  No issues
