Topic: How to turn your in-car video into "hyper speed" video

1) download and install VLC player

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

2) open your video file w/ VLC

3) Under "View" click "Advanced Controls"

4) Queue up the video to where you want the clip to start and hit pause

5) Press the "+" key to increase the playback speed (I like 4x, its displayed at the bottom right of the player)

6) Press the red record button

7) Press the play button

8) Press the red record button again when you want to stop recording the hyper speed clip

9) The clip should be saved to your My Documents folder (windows) by default.

10) Upload to www.vimeo.com for best results, youtube was messing up the audio on my files when rerecorded this way.

And that's all there is to it. Here's the end result:

Not sure why I'd want to do that, but your telemetry is hella cool!

Telemetry or not, I get bored watching MYSELF at 1x speed. Most of the stuff is way better at faster playback. With a little slow-mo of the spins/hits/saves thrown in for good measure.
