Topic: "Lemons people are my kinda people"

Having attended the Sears Pointless race to support me and my friends in our Gone in 60 Laps Mustang my wife has come to the conclusion "Lemons people are my kinda people".  This bodes well as we want to do the August Thunderhill weekend.  Thanks for all the great teams and Lemons staff that make these weekends fun for everyone.

agreed

I used to consider myself a "racer in training".....in that I was planning on being a hardcore SCCA-NASA racer....  after a few converstations with John at Evil Genius Racing I thought Lemons would be fun.....and it turned out to be WAY more fun than I EVER had at a trackday or TT....not even close.....  along the way I managed to convert a couple hardcore Porsche racers to Lemons too!!!  I have yet to meet someone who DOESN'T like Lemons racing after driving in one.....  once you try it...your hooked.....whats not to like...a circus, a party with a race in the background.....

Re: "Lemons people are my kinda people"

I was talking to my Dad last night about the various characters that we have run into in the various types of racing we have run.  Out of the blue he looks up at me and says,  "Was anyone at Lemons not nice to us?"  we all stopped and thought...nope everyone we met at Nelson and Toledo was super cool!  Lemons people are my kinda people too!  The races are fun, the people are nice, its cheap....whats not to like?

Re: "Lemons people are my kinda people"

Lemons people are good people as we have discovered over our 3 races.

It is the most fun I've had in motorsports period. Both in the Pits with people/judges etc.... and on track with all you other crazy guys. smile

Re: "Lemons people are my kinda people"

I agree with the above for the most part. Our last CMP race in 2009 we had 2 teams to deal with that were less than professional. Helping themselves to chair and items from our pit area. Not asking or returning them when we were looking for them. We only discovered when we were packing up that they had been left behind in their area.
Then getting Hit by the escort, we go to the penalty area, they go hide in their pits. Plus they never to come over to explain why the incident happened.

Now the MSR race we just didn in TX.  Great time. Great people. Very cool cars, You have to love a SHO winning and a BMW 2002 in the top 5. if it was not for the 18 hour drive each way we would be going again.

EuroTrash E30 - Lemons South 08 (cooling probs) 24th /CMP  Spring 09 (fuel tank damage) one day on track 69th /Lemons South 09 (Hit by an Escort) 27th
MSR Tx, 10 2oth, no issues other than rain. /CHump Homestead Miami 10- 2nd place.

New Orleans is 5 hours from Houston. So that's 13 hours maybe? It's a nice track, I guess registration is closed now. And you guys are probably going to race at the Spring CMP. You could make N.O. in Nov...........
